Who We Are

manare is operated by PEP ökotec Consult GmbH, Hildastraße 10, 69469 Weinheim (Bergstraße), Germany (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at info@pep-oekotec.de; full company details are in our Imprint.

The Service

manare is a personal CRM that helps you keep in touch with the people who matter — storing contacts, notes, reminders, and related information across iPhone, Apple Watch, CarPlay, widgets, and the web. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Your Account

To use most features you need an account. You must be at least 16 years old, provide accurate information, and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your Data and Content

The contacts, notes, and other content you add remain yours. You grant us only the limited rights needed to host, process, and display that content in order to provide the service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to store other people’s personal data in manare and for complying with applicable privacy laws. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable Use

When using manare, you agree not to:

• use the service for any unlawful purpose or to store or share unlawful content;
• infringe the rights of others or use manare to harass, spam, or abuse anyone;
• attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent the security of the service;
• reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the service except as permitted by law; or
• resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise the service without our written consent.

manare Pro Subscription

manare offers an optional paid plan (“manare Pro”). Where you purchase it through the Apple App Store, the purchase and billing are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms, and we do not receive your payment details.

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices may change, and we will give notice of material changes in advance. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with its policies.

Intellectual Property

manare — including its software, design, logos, and trademarks — is owned by us or our licensors. These terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the service as intended.

Third-Party Services

The service relies on third parties, such as the Apple App Store and our hosting and infrastructure providers. Their terms may also apply to your use of those services, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

Availability and Changes

We work to keep manare available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance and may modify or discontinue features, where reasonable, with appropriate notice.

Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will meet your requirements or be free of errors. This does not limit any statutory rights that cannot be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

We are liable without limitation for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely), and such liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Any further liability is excluded. Mandatory liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) remains unaffected.

Termination

You may stop using manare and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms or use the service unlawfully. When your account is deleted, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice. By continuing to use manare after the changes take effect, you agree to the updated terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer, you also enjoy the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
